Red Wing Shoes
Think work wear and you think Red Wing. Synonymous with the genre we love, Red Wing has been instrumental in the history of the American worker and been its staple since 1905. Founded by Mr. Charles Beckman and associates in Red Wing, Minnesota, the aim was to make 'truly good shoes.' Over a century on and thankfully not much has changed. Having worked with S.B Foot Tanning, a specialist footwear tannery, since its inception, Red Wing acquired the company in 1987. Utilizing its own local tannery brings many advantages, such as giving greater control over quality and manufacture. Further, the use of the Puritan machine, responsible for the famous triple stitch seams, contributes to the strength and durability of the iconic footwear brand. In 2005 Red Wing cemented their position as a world beater, producing the largest boot in the World, measuring 638 1/2 D, and weighing 2,300lb. It is safe to say with Red Wing, you can keep on walking.
